Let’s be clear. At no point will I wave a watch in front of your face or ask you to dance like a chicken. The hypnosis part of the session is more of a set of relaxation techniques which helps with allowing your subconscious to process and sort information in a similar way that Rapid Eye Movement (REM) sleep does.
You are in control the entire time. ‘Trance’ might sound a bit ‘woo’ but actually it is an entirely normal and conscious state.
Your hypnotherapy path starts with learning about YOU and why your brain is doing what it is doing. After all, it has one interest, and that is to keep YOU alive. Understanding your own primitive responses and behaviours is a game changer and I can’t tell you just how many ‘lightbulb’ moments you will have.

Now we can start with working out what your preferred future self looks like.
Many of the life challenges I help with can be resolved with just a few sessions. I’ll help you relieve yourself of all that stress and emotional overwhelm you might be carrying so you can make good and clear decisions about what you need from life. You’ll leave the session feeling relaxed, positive and able to take more control over whatever has been holding you back.
You won’t need to tell me your life story or discuss your feelings.
People are often shocked to find out that they don’t have to talk about their past to make positive changes to their future. You may want to read that sentence again because research has proven this to be the case. This is where the evidence based, “solution-focused” part of our work together comes in.
Why solution-focused hypnotherapy?
I’ve worked with people who have experienced years of traditional taking therapy focusing on the problem in detail, and for some, this is beneficial to some extent. Obviously, we do talk and my room is a safe and confidential space, but we discuss your future more than your past. With solution focused brief therapy, changes happen and some of these changes can happen surprisingly quickly – They don’t call it Solution Focused Brief Therapy for nothing! Add in the Hypnotherapy/relaxation element and those changes really stick.
